Amazon Product Type is a required option to list your items under new ASINs. Selecting the right Product Type at the time of listing is crucial because the product type determines which fields in the catalog must be filled in for a particular product.
If you specify an incorrect product type, the product may end up in the wrong category. Then, it is not displayed to customers who click through the category tree, and customers are annoyed that they are shown unsuitable products in other categories.
You can set up Product Type in M2E Sales Channels within a couple of clicks. Navigate to the Listings tab, open the product detail card, and use the Product type attribute section to specify it.
Once the product is uploaded, you cannot switch to a different Product Type. In order to change it, you have to delete the product, wait 24 hours, and create it again with the same EAN and ASIN but with a new Product Type. If several sellers offer the product, there is no possibility of changing the Product Type. |
